  1. Teachers have the responsibility of reporting student learning accurately and fairly, based on evidence obtained from a variety of contexts and applications. Effective assessment of learning requires that teachers provide. It's understandable why the assessment would require validity. We should the reason why we do these things, is it merely because it's our job and we get paid for it? I believe that in everything we do, when considering the consequences, we not only think about what we get out of it but what we give to those we are also affecting. Because there will always be a bigger picture in everything we do, so we can't just do things like we're only going through the motions, because in the end, we might question the productivity of our work.

    In example, when grading the students, must always be a basis for the mark that will be given out to them. This is also to prevent bias and for the students to be aware of how high the criteria is for a certain output that they will pass to the teacher. In certain things like this, you always have to ascertain the validity of the claim. In regards to Validity, since I mentioned that there must be a basis for the mark given to the students, it follows that it is also vital to keep the record. Not only for being able to track down and be reminded of the student's progress, but also as a matter of showing evidence. In the case that there would be a complain because a learner will be unsatisfied with their grade, you have the basis to back it up. Of course, as a teacher, keeping track of the student's grades isn't all that they do. When a student is doing a good job in his or her performance and seems to be excelling, then it is only right that we commend them. Same goes for those students who seems to be doing poorly, and give them a little push. Reinforcing and motivating Young educators is part of the job of being mentors, so we must be intact as well to the social aspect with our students to the extent of what is necessary. In connection to being intact with our students, we must be aware that each students have their own way of learning. As teachers, we should be able to adjust and meet the needs of each of our students so that none of them will be left out in the learning process. I believe this to be vital because educating students is not only our job, it should also be our concern because these students will be the future leaders of our country. And that's why Reporting is also good in the classroom setting, in reinforces the students to put more effort in the topic that they are learning and they are also actively participating in the learning process.

  2. Being a future mentor someday "Assessment of Learning" is one of the key to be an effective teacher. The teacher's role is not only give knowledge for their students but also to guide the study of their students. Teachers should know their method of teaching so that the students can understand what they are going to tackled.As a teachers they should not be unfair to their students when it comes to transparency.The assessment of learning of a teacher should clear,it means that through the assessment that the teacher did to their student they can also communicate as well to the parents of their students.Assessment of learning can help the students to have a deeper understanding in a particular subject.The teachers need to be used the fit assessment of learning for students in order the students can apply what they have learned through real life situation.If teachers assign some projects the assessment of learning the giving grades for the students should based on the students output.

    The teachers need to take an active role in making decisions about the purpose of assessment and the content that is being assessed.The knowledge of the students need require new goals which are change the relationship of the assessment and instruction.The Assessment of Learning should focuses on the opportunities to develop students' ability to evaluate themselves, to make judgement about their own performance and improve upon it.Conversations about learning may take place between teachers and young people or among the learners themselves, and should be part of the planned activity or experience.

  3. Being a future teacher “Assessment of Learning” provide the achievement of the student and the key to an effective teacher. As a Teacher we have to demonstrate it properly that the student will understand there competency and their skills, clear descriptions of their deliberate learning. Assessment of learning occurs when teachers use evidence of student learning to make judgments on student achievement against goals and standards. The teacher will be responsible to the student’s experiences, capability and their skills. As a Teacher we have to communicate to our students that they will we have concern to their studies and also to the parents need to know the activities in the class of their sons or daughter . The students they will know their task and ability to they're learning process. The teacher need to understand they will apply it to real life situation of there students


    As an Effective Teacher we have to explain it properly the information and decisions making is the highest form quality. Whichever approaches teachers choose for assessment of learning, it is their records that provide details about the quality of the measurement. Detailed records of the various components of the assessment of learning are essential,with a description of what each component measures, with what accuracy and against what criteria and reference points, and should include supporting evidence related to the outcomes as justification.Regardless of the form of the reporting,however, it should be honest, fair, and provide sufficient detail and contextual information so that it can be clearly understood. The assessment learning we have to focuses on the opportunities and develop students ability to evaluate themselves.

  4. The assessment learning is the strategy of the teachers on how to assess theirs students to help of them to make and recognize the lessons of what the teachers give them. Students need a key to apply or share to the teacher on what he/she know so that the teacher well know the ability of students through their learning and knowledge. The teacher must have a good experience and then much knowledge through that subject on what they teach so that when the student ask them on what they didn't know the teacher can answer on without any thinking of it.The example of assessment in my own teaching is in the grading basis and participating in the class because when the student participate in they class they know on what the teachers tackled about.When it comes to the grading basis the teachers give to the students a deserving grades. The teachers must have a different strategy everyday so that the students will not bored in the class. The teachers have find a way on how the student can interact and communicate with others so that each one of them know of what the attitudes of their others classmates. The teacher and students must have a good connection so that when it comes to the lesson they have a interactions with others.

    The teachers must have a good idea and great experience on how the asses the teaching on the students. The proficient of the students is the ability on what should he/she do about what kind of information she/he got on that learning process of what the teachers gave. It is important to recognize that all proficiency have standards and measurements on different levels.So that the students can know on what they are belong to the method of learning. The knowledge of the teachers they have to share on it to the students learned a lot to that teachers. The assessment learning is on to encourage the students to he ultimate purpose of assessment for learning is to create self-regulated learners who can leave school able and confident to continue learning throughout their lives. Teachers need to know at the outset of a unit of study where their students are in terms of their learning and then continually check on how they are progressing through strengthening the feedback they get from their learners. Students are guided on what they are expected to learn and what quality work looks like. The ability of the students is on how the teachers teach to them and give an appropriate example about on what the subject is. The parent and teachers must have an great communication so that the teachers can tell to the parents on what kind of learner of his child. The knowledge and goal of students is on how the teachers can encourage to them and also theirs parents. The assessment learning is the strategy of what the student know about through the experience of the teacher.

  5. As future educator, Assessment of Learning is really very important to consider why? Because as we know that the teachers have the great responsibility of reporting student learning progress fairly and accurately, based on the evidence obtained from multiplicity of applications and measurements. Assessment of learning is also a key element in educational accountability because it measures of how schools and students perform academically. It is also designed to provide evidence of achievement to the students. That is why it is very important to identify the students’ progress in learning that; the future of our students will depend upon the measurements that we are going to use. It is also an important role to identify the students who need additional academic help. And also it is best to involve the parents in conducting assessment, for them to be aware of their responsibility as a parents and support to their child so that there will be no blaming happen when the things go wrong in the future. But as much as possible we do our best to make all things clear and accountable especially for the sake of the students learning.

    It is also important to consider that we are not only performing our task as a teacher, to measure how good we are in teaching our student, or we do assessments because we want to know if the students could learn from us, or excel in the strategies that we use, but also for us to know and understand the child’s capability and what is the reinforcement that we are going to make, to prove ourselves how effective and caring the teacher should be, always look for the welfare of our students. As we reflect on ourselves how capable we are in the field of teaching and educating our students entrusted to our care.

  6. As an education student, studying the Assessment of Learning will be our preparation for the challenging profession we want to pursue. It will be our guide in making our lesson plan, assessing the students capacity and competency and grading them in a correct and fair method. In doing it, it's not just in one particular area that they excel, like in a test or exam (pen-and-paper) objectives or in the way they perform in the class but as a whole indeed. Also, here, we will know what should be the best strategies, methods, or techniques that suits in our teaching for us to keep in track in our students progress along the way and to know their weaknesses and strengths, so that, we can enhance and develop it more. In addition, to challenge them to think critically into their extent also for them to apply it into a credible statements or making a concrete decision in their everyday life. Through Learning Assessment we will find out if the objectives, goal or aim is being meet.

    As a future facilitator we all know that upon in our shoulders lay the future of the youth because the teacher wield enormous influence in imparting upon the growing mind, a zest for learning, thus providing them a firm foundation for lifelong learning. And as a part of being it, we must have the skills require to cause learning among the students and to facilitate or assess the development of their potential in all aspects. And for us to be able to do so, we must be an efficient and effective future teacher and that is be an active learner, a critical thinker and should be able to model in the same way.

  7. Assessment of learning is encouraging the students to be more lively and confidently in their learning. Assessment of Learning can help to develop their confidence. It is really important for the teachers to know if their pupils learned or not.In teaching, Assessment of Learning is extremely essential to assess the learning of the students. Some educators now a days are not that fair in terms of reporting the grades of their pupils. For some, as long as the learner attended his class the teacher will pass him. Although they knew that the student did not learn what he has to learn, then still it will be marked as passed.Is that they way to educate students?? Does my reflection sounds that I am mad? no I am not. I just shared what I had observed during my high school days.

    As a future mentor, It is important to prove if the students learned from me.I will give all the best in me just to share the knowledge I have. I will do my best to capture their attention, and through that they could absorb the lesson I intend to teach. While educating, I will also inspire each of them to follow their heart, be what they dream to become and achieve their prior goals in life.Where there is a will, there is a way. We can be whatever we want to be, all we need is to study very well so that in the future we could be one of the greats.

Assessment of learning refers to strategies designed to confirm what students know, demonstrate whether or not they have met curriculum outcomes or the goals of their individualized programs, or to certify proficiency and make decisions about student's future programs or placements. It often contributes to pivotal decisions that will affect student's futures. It is important that the underlying logic and measurement of assessment of learning be credible and defensive. As a future mentor, it is our responsibility of reporting student learning accurately and fairly based on their performance. Assessment of learning are often far-reaching and affect students seriously that's how important it is. I've learned that by the assessment of learning, it makes possible for students to demonstrate their competence and skill. The good thing about this is that student can look forward to tasks as occasions to show their competence, as well as the depth and breadth of their learning. I realized that it requires the collection and interpretation of information curricular areas. Being a student of this course, it is important because it enables students to show the complexity of their understanding. Teachers are aiming to inspired their students and so by that, students need to apply key concepts, knowledge, skills, and attitudes in ways that are authentic and consistent with current thinking in the knowledge domain.
    I've learned a lot from this link. I've understood how important this to my teaching career someday. The assessment of learning enables teachers to determine next steps in advancing student learning to guide and provide opportunities for each student to monitor and critically reflect on his or her learning. It also certify or inform parents or others of student's proficiency in relation to curriculum learning outcomes.

  9. Based on my understanding in this course, Assessment Learning is one of the important course that we need to study because as a future mentor someday, we will handle a lot of students. And that students we'll help themselves to be more confident and also more responsible. By taking this course, as a mentor I'll be the one who start as example for them on how to become responsible and have a confidence to assess themselves without getting help of others. Once, they can stand by their own they'll prove to their parents that they can do anything by themselves.While students assessing themselves they're also learned from whatever they do in a right way.Since, I'm the teacher I still need to overlook my students in what they doing and that's the time that I will help them if based on my observation they'll need my help.

    Assessment can also determine what the students does and does not know about the topic and it can also determine the learning style of the students if, how can they perform well in different group or group in a subjects. As their teacher I will teach them how important Assessment Learning is, because it can help them to achieve their goals in life and I'll also teach that by applying this course in their lives is helping them to improve the confidence that they have.So, that's the time that no one can bring them down because they're not confident on what they doing because they don't know how to assess themselves, in school even in their work.

    Assessment of Learning is an integral part of the teaching and learning process that is very helpful to teachers and also for us future educators in making decisions for our students. These decisions may be done before, during and after assessment. As future teachers, we must take assessment of learning seriously so that we can apply what we have learned to our students. Our role is to design various strategies for us to determine our student’s achievements and weaknesses. But before planning for strategies, it is important to consider first the nature of our learners and examine their special needs so that we can address the best lesson fitted to their individual needs. As their teacher, we must not only aim to train our students with the basic reading and arithmetic skills, but also the skills that would enable them to face the real world that is constantly changing. We must see to it that our students will learn to think critically, analyze problems, develop self-awareness and know how to apply their skills in real life situations. This could happen if we teachers in the first place, assess our students according to what they need.
    In assessing our student’s learning, we have also to consider its reliability, validity, and accuracy. That is why teacher need to be equipped with enough knowledge on how to assess their student’s performance so that we can evaluate and make judgment accurately. The involvement of parents also in the process is very essential for we consider them as our valued source of information. We have to communicate with the parents weather their children are progressing or not. That’s why studying assessment is very important.

As a future educator we must be aware of being fair, valid, reliable and effective assessment of student's performance its either performance-based assessment or product-based assessment and for us to be fully equipped with knowledge in assessment of learning we must internalize and fully understand the concepts and principles and apply it in real classroom scenario considering the student's ego towards your decisions and actions like being favoritism or being bias in computing their grade. and as a future educator it is one of our responsibilities to make them feel and realize that we are all family in the classroom. for that, we must strictly follow the rubrics or criteria we set for a certain activity regardless to the profile of the students and for being fair will result in having good rapport between you and your students wherein classroom discipline will automatically takes place and for me classroom discipline will lead to efficient and effective teaching-learning process.
    Assessment of learning serves us the transparency of the student's grade that includes how does teacher computes and come-up with their grade. another thing is, it also help teachers on how to improve their teaching methods, techniques and strategies that would best fit to the student's need, interest and capability like having item analysis and re-teaching.

  12. According to Paul Black, when the cook tastes the soup, that’s formative assessment; when the customer tastes the soup, that’s summative assessment. Assessment of learning is summative and it involves finding out the quality of learning that has taken place at the end of the school year. Its purpose is to gauge the student’s progress whether they achieved proficiency and competency or they failed to comply with the standards. It aimed to let the students experience learning in the learning process and the final product will be taken out from it as an evidence of progress. Assessment of learning takes a vital role because it helps the teacher to sort the students according to their accomplishments.
    If I were to think of an example of assessment of learning, the best for me would be the portfolio. I learned from this module that it comprises the collections of evidence of students’ achievements at school. It demonstrates the learning outcomes that the students achieved in the learning process and the competence in skills that are not measured in examinations.

    For me Assessment of learning is all about to grading system, planning/strategies and Teacher to parents.first the grading system have give a fair grade to the student if the student is not passed the subject the teacher give he/she a chance to prove that he/she deserve the second chance that the teacher give.Planning/strategies the teacher have a role in the classroom that will respect the student and all the role to have peace in the classroom. The teacher have a strategies to make the student listen and also enjoy the lesson because of that the student passed the subject. Teacher to parent also have communication if the student have a problem in school teacher will be talk the parents about the problem of the student. And also the reporting, project, test and quizzes all of that help the student to have a additional grade then help as remember the past lesson using test and quizzes also reporting help the student discover their subject matter they will explain that clearly. As a future mentor this subject are important to us because of assessment learning they guide us and we can apply this when we in the field in teaching we need to have a original style in teaching because of this subject we have a idea when we work on the field of teaching.

  15. As a future mentor, " Assessment Learning" is the one important that i need to teach my student if ever i become a teacher someday. Assessment Learning is not only a part of a curriculum. it is used to confirmed in a formal statements of what a student know and can do the level of the proficiency or competency. As a future mentor it is my responsibility of reporting students learning correctly or exactly based on their performances. As of now i am still a student and i am still taking this course i will study deeply to this course to grasp lots of information so that, if i become a teacher someday i can share my knowledge with them of what I've learned to this course.
    Assessment Learning should encourage the student to become effective and lively to their learning. Based on my experience there are some teacher who has a favoritism inside the classroom. For me as a student it is unfair to those teacher who do it, because it is not the right way how you teach , how you lead or how you motivate your student while you are teaching. As a future mentor i will teach or to lead my students fairly. Because Assessment Learning is not only a part of a subject but also this is the way you assess them if they learned or not.

  16. As a future teacher we need to evaluate or estimate the nature or ability of the students. So that by this Assessment Learning we can help and understand them deeply. WE have a responsibility for the children to teach them what they need.
    In classrooms where assessment for learning is practiced, students are encouraged to be more active in their learning and associated assessment. The ultimate purpose of assessment for learning is to create self-regulated learners who can leave school able and confident to continue learning throughout their lives. Teachers need to know at the outset of a unit of study where their students are in terms of their learning and then continually check on how they are progressing through strengthening the feedback they get from their learners. Students are guided on what they are expected to learn and what quality work looks like. The teacher will work with the student to understand and identify any gaps or misconceptions. As the unit progresses, the teacher and student work together to assess the student’s knowledge, what she or he needs to learn to improve and extend this knowledge, and how the student can best get to that point. Assessment for learning occurs at all stages of the learning process.

As a future educator Assessment learning occurs when teachers use evidence of student learning to make judgement on stundents achievement against goals and standards. it is usually formal, frequently occurring at the end of units of work where it sums up student achievement at a particular point in time. it is often organized around themes or major projects and judgement may be based on student performance on multi - domain assessment tasks. it has a summative use showing how students are progressing against the standards, and a formative use providing evidence to inform long term planning.and also assessment must be planned with the purpose in mind. assessment for, as and of learning all have a role to play in supporting and improving student learning, and must be appropriately balanced. as teachers and students work towards the achievement of curriculum outcomes assessment plays a constant role in informing instruction, guiding the student's next steps, and checking progress and achievement. teachers use many different processes and strategies for classroom assessment, and adapt them to suit the assessment purpose and needs of individual students.
    Based on what i understand Assessment learning is important because of all decisions you will make about children when teaching and caring for them. The decisions facing as a teacher at the beginning of this chapter all involve how best to educate children.Like them. you will be called upon every day to make decisions before,during and after your teaching.As a future teacher there our some question in our mind Why Assessment learning is very important simply because. We need to guide and provide opportunities for each student to monitor and critically reflect on his or her learning, and identify next step. And also Assessment information is exactly what teachers need to report to the parents on student learning.

Why summative assessment? because it is done after instruction so by that it used to confirm what students know and the learning of students from the teacher. we all know that assessment of learning methods is tests and examinations only but not only tests and examinations but also a variety of products and demonstrations of learning like portfolios, presentations, performance, exhibitions and so many more. Including in this methods is to allow all students to show their understanding of their learning so that the other students can use the results in a right ways. About the teachers roles in assessment of learning, teachers have the responsibility of reporting students learning accurately and fairly based on evidence obtained from a variety of contexts and applications.
    In this topic, Assessment of learning, I learn how to assess our students in the classroom. I learn also the teachers roles in assessing students. And I learn also the methods of assessment of learning, not only a test and examinations but also the other methods that we can use if we are in the field of teaching proffession. So as a future preschool teacher someday, I can use what I;ve learn in assessing students. I also share my knowledge to my students so that they learn a lot from me. I teach also to them the right discipline or treat to each other so that in classroom students avoid being wildfreak to their classmates. I should also use the strategies and techniques in teaching given in assessment of learning. I apply all of this if I'm in the field of teaching.

The term ‘Assessment' refers to all those activities undertaken by teachers, and by their students in assessing themselves, which provide information to be used as feedback to modify the teaching and learning activities in which they are engaged. The concept of assessment for learning is not new. It is underpinned by the confidence and belief that every student is unique and possess the ability to learn, and that we should develop their multiple intelligences and potentials. To promote better learning, assessment is conducted as an integral part of the curriculum, learning and teaching, and feedback cycle. The curriculum has set out what students should learn in terms of the learning objectives. Assessment, a practice of collecting evidence of student learning, should be so designed that it assesses what students are expected to learn and the learning processes that lead there. Different modes of assessment are to be used whenever appropriate for a comprehensive understanding of student learning in various aspects. Feedback can then be given to students and teachers to form basis on decisions as to what to do to improve learning and teaching.Assessment of learning occurs when teachers use evidence of student learning to make judgements on student achievement against goals and standards.
